jukebox brains

A few days ago I woke up with the “Milk, Milk, Lemonade” ditty in my head and it stuck there all day. Yesterday I woke up with “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better),” which got stuck as well, and I sang it on the downlow all freaking day. This morning? “Rainbow Connection,” and those are the only words I know. I’m not even sure of the tune, so it’s just all “La, la, la, la, Someday we’ll find it, the Rainbow Connection. La-la.”

It’s like there’s a crappy, outdated jukebox in my head, and someone is sneaking quarters into my mouth while I sleep.

  1. This happens to me all the time. And like you, it’s never the whole song, just a line from a song that plays over and over. Now I have a name for this affliction. Thank you!
